Field Trip to Genoa Bluffs Pumpkin Farm in Marengo

Today Washington Township's First and Second Grades went on a field trip to Genoa Bluffs Pumpkin Farm just off Interstate 80, near Marengo.  We had a beautiful, crisp, fall day to enjoy the field trip.

Our day started out by learning about the life cycle of the pumpkin. Then the students made a pumpkin craft. After the craft it was time for lunch. Martha packed delicious lunches of sandwiches, carrots, grapes, graham crackers, string cheese, and chips.

After lunch the students were spilt into four different groups and each group participated in a different activity.  All the pictures are of my small group, sorry if your child is not in any of the photos! We rode around the farm on the Duke Express, played in a corn box, traveled in a corn maze, bounced in a bouncy house, played games, and rode on a hayrack and picked pumpkins.

We would like to thank the WT PTO for sponsoring our trip and Genoa Bluffs Pumpkin Farm for letting us come!  We had a BLAST!
