Cooperative Learning- Literacy Centers

Since we are a unique class we take many opportunities to use our combination class to our advantage. The second grade students have been participating in literacy centers with Mrs. Simon for the past two weeks. Mrs. Simon decided that it was time for the second grade students to be leaders and teachers to the first grade students.  Each second grade student was matched up with a first grade student. The second grade student was the "teacher" of the center. He/she had to explain the rules of the center and to participate with their first grade partner.  Look at the fun we are having!
